Through the  practice of physical posture, breathing technique and mindful intention, we are able to deepen and develop a relationship with both our physical body and our spiritual center.  When we cultivate awareness of our body, breath and chattering mind while on the mat, we are building the muscles to take that same awareness off the mat and into our daily lives.

More than cultivating vibrant health, yoga is an evolutionary process.  As we wade through the murky waters of our minds we develop a connection to the deeper wisdom than lies within each of us.  The mind is inundated with thought and chatter on a constant basis.  When we begin to witness this chatter as separate from ourselves, as something that happens on its own, we are able to identify it as such and dismiss it for what it is.   Simply chatter, simply thought-not right, not wrong, not true, not YOU.  When we can detach from the idea that we are what we think, we gain expansive  freedom.

Yoga for Mothers:
Yoga can be an invaluable tool for pregnant women and new mothers.  Not only does it aid in keeping the body strong and supple in preparation for and recovery from birth, it can also provide a sacred space for honoring all of the physical, mental and spiritual transitions that are taking place.
Private pre/postnatal classes are available individually or as part of a Doula package.
